Different Types of Proxy Servers

There are four different types of proxy servers, they are:

Transparent Proxy
Anonymous Proxy
Distorting Proxy
High Anonymity Proxy

Transparent Proxy allows to see the IP (Internet protocol) address through the HTTP headers. Usually is used for his ability to cache websites and not provide anonymity if you use it. (view a list of transparent proxies)

Anonymous Proxy not shows the original IP (Internet Protocol) address but is detectable. Provides anonymity for Internet surfers. (view a list of anonymous proxies)

Distorting Proxy makes an incorrect original IP through the HTTP headers.

High Anonymity Proxy does not identify by itself as proxy server and provides anonymity for the original IP address. (view a list of high anonymous proxies)
