Plantronics Cs60 Wireless Headset Review

Today we’re reviewing the CS60 Wireless Headset from Plantronics so lets start with the good.   --THE GOOD-- As far as wireless headsets go the CS60 at under $250 dollars delivers a lot of bang for your buck.    Firstly most headsets available today only offer one wearing style and you either get over the head or over the ear.  The CS 60 by comparison offers three, here shown is the over the ear style, the over the head style, and the optional behind the neck band. If you are going to share this headset with others then this is a fantastic feature with so many choices to suit every type of user.   The reception range of the headset is good at a quoted 100 meters range and the talk time is also very good at up to 9 hours. The fast top up is great and while you’re at lunch you simple pop the headset back in its cradle and it’ll almost be fully charged by the time you return to your desk.   Users also find the call quality to be excellent and the setup is relatively easy. The controls are easily located on the back of the base unit and it’s very straightforward…even if you’re not technically minded so don’t worry. SO to recap the positives the CS60 is 1. Very affordable 2. Multiple wearing styles 3. Good range 4. Great Talk time 5. Easy to set up -- THE NOT SO GOOD -- Firstly, the CS60 headset doesn’t offer noise cancelling. So if you have a noisy environment then you might need to consider something like the newer Plantronics CS70n, the GN 9330, the CS351N or the CS 361N. Perhaps the biggest criticism is that the CS60 is now an older model and as such looks a little dated when compared to the GN9330 or the newer Plantronics CS70n but it’s also $40 cheaper.  Plus, if your battery fails you will need to replace the entire headset component although this is very rare.  The next point is more of a criticism for all wireless headsets not just the CS60 and that is if you want to answer calls away from your desk you’ll need to buy an optional HL10 lifter.  These are available in a bundled pack on the site and you’ll actually save even more if you buy them in a pack.  -- THE VERDICT --   Apart from these minor gripes the CS60 is a great all-round headset with excellent call quality, versatile wearing styles and our customers seem to be incredibly happy with them.   We hope you found this review helpful and no matter what headset you choose from Simply Headsets know you’re covered by our full manufacturer warranties and our fantastic satisfaction guarantee!
